Boone Jenner’s late goal gives the Blue Jackets a 4-3 win over Buffalo.

COLUMBUS, OHIO — Boone Jenner scored with 5:07 left in the third period to give the Columbus Blue Jackets a 4-3 win against the Buffalo Sabres at Nationwide Arena on Friday.
The Blues Jackets (43-17-6), who have won three straight, tied a Columbus record for wins in a season set in 2013-14.
Nick Foligno, David Savard and Sam Gagner also scored, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves for the Blue Jackets.
The Sabres (27-29-12) have lost four straight. Evan Rodrigues, Josh Gorges and Rasmus Ristolainen scored, and Robin Lehner made 35 saves.
Sabres center Jack Eichel’s 11-game point streak ended.
Jenner gave Columbus a 4-3 lead with a backhand move at the crease for his 14th goal following a faceoff win.
The Sabres tied it 3-3 on Ristolainen’s fifth goal at 5:57 of the third when his shot was deflected, then went off Bobrovsky and trickled in.
Columbus led 3-2 after two periods when Gagner scored his 17th goal, third in four games, at 18:28 of the second.
The Sabres trailed 2-1 to start the period but Gorges tied it at 4:56 with a shot from the left point. It was his first goal in 78 games dating back to Feb. 12, 2016.
Bobrovsky’s shutout streak ended at 182:50 when Rodrigues got his third goal at 2:50 of the first to give the Sabres a 1-0 lead. The goalie had three straight shutouts prior to Rodrigues’ goal.
Savard tied it 1-1 at 6:09 with his fourth goal, coming on a shot from the right point after Brandon Dubinsky won the draw.
Foligno made it 2-1 at 17:05 after Tyler Ennis was penalized for delay of game. The Blue Jackets were 2-for-2 on the power play.
