Buffalo loses 4-0 to the Wild.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres ran into a hot goalie in Devan Dubnyk as the Minnesota Wild shut out the Sabres, 4-0, on Thursday night at KeyBank Center. The shutout was the second of his career against the Sabres for Dubnyk.

The Wild took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from Joel Eriksson and Jason Zucker. Minnesota added an insurance tally in the third by Ryan Suter and Mikko Koivu scored an empty net tally to complete the scoring.

Anders Nilsson made his second consecutive start in net for Buffalo and made 18 saves. Goalie Robin Lehner missed his second straight game for the Sabres due to illness.

The Sabres outshot the Wild, 19-4, in the second period but were unable to get the puck past Dubnyk, who finished with 38 saves.

Tyler Ennis paced the Sabres with 9 shots on goal. Defensemen Zach Bogosian and Rasmus Ristolainen were next with 6 and 5, respectively.

Buffalo plays host to the Florida Panthers on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
