“I just felt that Seattle’s been special,” Olsen said, via the Charlotte Observer. “I just feel like their track record of consistency. We’ve seen it up close and personal here in Carolina at times. And obviously Russell Wilson. He’s an elite, special guy at the quarterback position.”

“And they showed so much interest in me. It was just too good of an opportunity to pass up,” Olsen added.

When looking for the marquee difference between Seattle over Buffalo and Washington, Olsen makes a valid point. The Redskins are in a much more questionable position than the Bills under center. Former first-round pick Dwayne Haskins is much more unproven than Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Having said that, Allen is closer to the middle of the pack in terms of quarterback play while Wilson was probably a top-three thrower and overall player in the NFL last season. A bit of that was overshadowed by Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s play and him being the new kid on the block.

But that didn’t take away from Wilson being an elite QB, and that evidently made all the difference for Olsen.
