As the Rochester-Finger Lakes area gets set to reopen from the COVID-19 shutdown, the Regional Transit Service says its buses will continue to run free-of-charge through June 7th.
RTS says this will provide some consistency for customers through Phase 1 of the reopening.
RTS originally waived its usual dollar-per-ride fare on March 19th so operators wouldn’t have to interact so much with riders and could maintain social distancing from passengers. They encourage customers to wear masks on the bus.
