The Rochester Police Department is recruiting young men and women as part of the city’s “Blueprint for Engagement,” and Chief Michael Ciminelli says the city is looking for people from all parts of the community to find them.

The city wants city residents from the clergy, business, education, government and anyone else interested who are willing to identify qualified candidates to become police officers. They hope this will attract more people and a more diverse pool of candidates interested in joining the force. They particularly want city residents.

Those interested can go online to  www.cityofrochester.gov/communityrecruiters.
