Units of the Irondequoit Police and Monroe County Sheriff’s Office searched West Irondequoit’s Rogers Middle School this morning after a possible threat emerged.
A district spokeswoman says a Rogers student had an online conversation with someone who claimed to be in Webster and made threats against the school. Police and a K9 unit joined district security in searching the Rogers/Southlawn Elementary School building and found nothing.
The school was open by 9:20 a.m. Students who walk to school were told to stay home until an “all clear” message was sent to district homes.
