A Rochester woman has pleaded guilty to a second degree kidnapping charge for her part in a bizarre abduction last summer.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says 47-year-old Jillianne Mencel agreed to plead guilty in return for a sentence of 17 yeaers in prison, followed by five years of post-release supervision.
Mencel was accused of conspiring with her husband, Joshua, and William Geer to kidnap Geer’s pregnant girlfriend and hold her captive in a house on Santee Street in Rochester. She was repeatedly beaten as the Mencels and Geer tried to get her to give up custody of her children. An anonymous tip led police to the house and all three were arrested.
Both the Mencels will be sentenced on May 31st.
