A 25-year-old Rochester woman has been charged with second degree arson for allegedly setting a fire on the second floor of an occupied house on Avenue E.
The fire heavily damaged the upper floor of the house, although nobody was injured. Arson investigators have charged Maria Acosta with setting the fire last week during a dispute over her recent eviction.
Acosta is currently at the Monroe County Jail awaiting arraignment.
