A woman has been arrested by Rochester police in connection with a year-old murder.
They say 28-year-old Kimberly Jones and another person kidnapped and killed 39-year-old Samuel Ortiz of Rochester, whose body was found last year in a Garage on Lakeview Park. She then allegedly fled to Brandon, Florida, in the victim’s car. The car was found set on fire in Brandon a couple of days later.
Jones is charged with murder, robbery and kidnapping.
Video evidence was recovered showing Jones in possession of property belonging to Ortiz. She was picked up by police in Florida when they learned she had a warrant as a parole absconder from New York and she was extradited back to New York.
