Rochester is about to have a full-time DMV office for the first time in 15 years.

Mayor Lovely Warren and Monroe County Clerk Adam Bello joined Assemblyman Joe Morelle in announcing that $425,000 in state funding is coming to Rochester to fund the office. They say it will be downtown, near the RTS Transit Center at 200 East Main Street. The same office will also house the Traffic Violations Agency and the Parking Violations Bureau.

Mayor Warren says the city will expand the amount of space it leases in the building and sublet to the state. City Council will have to approve the deal.
