Forty-six Rochester-based New York Army National Guard soldiers will be given a farewell ceremony this afternoon at the Greater Rochester International Airport.

 

The soldiers from the 171st General Support Aviation Battalion are part of a medical evacuation company that flies Blackhawk helicopters equipped as air ambulances. They’re leaving for two weeks training at Fort Bliss before deploying to Afghanistan.
