The City of Rochester is working on its 2017-2018 budget, and Mayor Lovely Warren is asking people to let their wants be known before the document is drafted.
The city has a budget survey underway until the end of the month on its website, and City Hall is also inviting all interested parties to the first of a series of public meetings on Thursday, April 21st, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The city is looking to see what services and programs residents need and want as the mayor and her budget staff look to close a $41.2 million gap between what the city can raise through tax revenues and the cost of existing programs.
