Widespread cases of the flu across the Rochester area have led Rochester Regional Health to join UR Medicine in imposing visitor restrictions at its Rochester hospitals.

In order to limit possible spread of influenza to patients or staff, Rochester General and the other RRH hospitals say nobody under 14 should visit. Visitors will be limited to two people per patient, and anybody who has a cough or sore throat should stay away, even if they’ve been vaccinated.

This applies until further notice at Rochester General Hospital and Unity Hospital in Greece. For now there are no restrictions at United Memorial Hospital in Batavia or Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
