Rochester police say a man in his 20s was pronounced dead at Strong Memorial Hospital Sunday evening after being shot near the School #17 playground on Orchard Street.
Police were called to the West Side location by Shot Spotter, and found the victim had been taken by friends to the hospital where he died shortly after arrival.
Police say they’ve learned the victim got into an argument with an unknown party near the playground and was shot. No suspects are in custody.
