Rochester police say a fatal shooting in the Northeast part of the city is the third homicide in 24 hours.
Police say a man in his 60s was shot on First Street at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. He was taken to the hospital, but died there.
Captain Frank Umbrino said police do’t believe the victim was the intended target of gunfire, but got caught in a crossfire between two people who were shooting at each other. Umbrino said the community needs to take a step back and reflect on its priorities.
