Fifteen men have been arrested in Rochester for allegedly patronizing a prostitute.
Rochester Police say officers conducted what they call a “John Detail” in the area of Lyell Avenue and Rutter Street after repeated complaints from neighbors in the area.
Police say they gain some valuable intelligence from these arrests, notably information about drug houses from prostitutes who want to avoid jail time. Police say this is also a quality of life issue for the Lyell Avenue area, which has been a center for prostitution in Rochester for decades.
