Rochester police will begin a crackdown on targeted neighborhoods of the city after Rochester’s 11th murder of the new year.
A city man was shot to death Wednesday evening near the corner of Dewey an Magee Avenues. The 29-year-old man had already been taken by friends to Rochester General Hospital, where he later died. Police say they believe the shooting was not random.
City officials are planning a press conference Thursday on the wave of violence which has hit the city in the past week and their response to it.
