Two Rochester police officers suffered minor injuries this morning in a struggle with a person they were trying to put under mental hygiene arrest. The incident happened at Dewey and Clay Avenues.
Police were called to the corner for a report of a man down on the pavement. They found a man who appeared highly intoxicated and tried to take him into custody when he lunged at them. Both officers suffered shoulder injuries and were treated at Rochester General Hospital.
The intoxicated man was taken into custody.
