A Rochester police officer has been placed on administrative duty after being arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for driving while intoxicated.
Officer Steve Kovacic was charged with DWI, driving to the left of pavement markings and stopping outside of business or residence districts. He was charged after he was found asleep at the wheel in the Town of Walworth.
An investigation is underway.
