Rochester Police Chief Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan says additional foot and bike patrols will be out in targeted city neighborhoods to combat a streak of violence that’s hit the Flower City.
Herriott-Sullivan says the areas targeted are being chosen by real-time data analysis to pinpoint the areas where trouble most often starts. Besides bike and foot patrols, there will be additional anti-violence details targeting people with a history of gun violence and of committing violent acts. She says Captains have been told to prepare anti-violence plans for each specific section of the city.
