The Rochester Police Department has returned to one officer patrol cars, and the union representing patrol officers isn’t happy about it.
An aide to the police chief confirms the standard patrol cars are back to solo after two days. The department went to two-man patrol cars after the Baton Rouge shootings on Sunday. Locust Club President Mike Mazzeo says patrol cars should always have two officers.
The department had said the two-man patrol cars would be temporary. Tactical cars do have two officers.
