Two Rochester men have pled guilty to first degree manslaughter charges for the death of George Herring, Junior.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office says 24-year-old Jervonte Evans got in a fight with Herring at a McDonald’s on Lake Avenue in Rochester. Evans then called 29-year-old Timothy Maxwell to pick him up, and they drove around until they spotted Herring on Kay Terrace.
Both men jumped out of the car and jumped Herring. During the fight, Evans pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest. He later died of the injury.
Under a plea agreement, Evans will serve 14 years in prison and Maxwell will serve seven.
