State Police patrolling the New York State Thruway arrested a pair of Rochester men over the weekend after finding they had more than five ounces of heroin in their car.
Troopers say 46-year-old Edgar Tolentino and 34-year-old Luis Rivera-Alverado were pulled over in the Town of Glen near Amsterdam for an equipment violation. They consented to a search and a search dog found the drugs hidden in the car.
Both men were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and are being held without bail in Montgomery County.
