A Rochester man has been sentenced to 40 years to life for second degree murder in the death of Chrishon Youmas nearly two years ago.
Tywayne Ivery, 26, was convicted of murder and weapons possession after Youmas was shot dead near the corner of Clifford and North Clinton Avenues in December of 2020. Police said Youmas was not Ivery’s intended target.
Ivery was set free on bail after being arrested for murder, and was then arrested again while carrying another illegal firearm.
