A 19-year-old Rochester man has pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators about what he saw the day another man fired a gun at law enforcement officers.
Jashua Figueroa was technically accused of “misprision of a felony” for lying about what he saw when Obed Torres Garcia fired the pistol at federal narcotics officers. It carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison.
Figueroa was sitting in a car with Garcia nearly a year ago when the officers got out of their van on Burbank Street. Garcia jumped out of the car and fired at the officers. Figueroa later denied seeing Garcia with a gun.
