Federal prosecutors say a 23-year-old Rochester man has pleaded guilty to charges of conspiring to transport stolen goods in interstate commerce…for his role in a Rochester pawnshop scam.

They say Wade Shadders was involved with Devin Tribunella in a scheme to have drug addicts shoplift merchandise from area big box stores. Those stolen items were then sold to Shadders and Tribunella at the Royal Crown Pawn and Jewelry shop on Dewey Avenue in Rochester. They, in turn, resold the merchandise on Ebay, shipping more than $1.5 million in stolen goods to buyers outside of New York State.

Shadders and Tribunella were arrested in November 2019 for their role in the conspiracy. Charges remain pending against  Tribunella.
