A Rochester man accused of intending to harm local judges and a member of the District Attorney’s office has been indicted by a Monroe County Grand Jury.
Necati Harsit is charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon and of making a terroristic threat. The Turkish-American man was arrested last week outside his restaurant in Irondequoit. A Turkish-speaking bank teller who helped Harsit access his safety deposit box saw him take several pistols from the box and load one of them. He then left the bank muttering in Turkish that he was going on a massacre.
Bank employees called Irondequoit Police, who picked Harsit up less than an hour later.
