A jury has found Anthony Love guilty of manslaughter in the death of three-year-old Kei’mere Marshall, but did not find him guilty of second degree murder as charged
Marshall was fatally beaten while Love was watching him in July of 2020. His mother returned from work to find him unconscious on the floor, and he told police the child had fallen down the stairs.
Mother Andrea Lipton was charged with manslaughter for not moving quickly enough to get help for her son. She goes on trial in the spring.
Prosecutors said at trial the child’s injuries were so severe it was as if he was in a car crash. Prosecutor Sara Vanstrydonck said after the trial that she has to respect the process, but hasn’t handled a case that showed more depravity.
