A Rochester man is in jail on four counts of assault after violently attacking three people in Hamlin Sunday morning…then biting two deputies who subdued him and took him into custody.

Mugshot-Hunter DouglasThe Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Hunter Curtis was at his girlfriend’s mother’s house, talking with his girlfriend in the garage when he became angry and began to swear at her. The girl’s mother came into the garage and told them both to leave. Curtis began to swear at her as well.

The mother’s boyfriend then came in and Curtis attacked him with a knife, stabbing the man half-a-dozen times in the back. As the mother and her daughter tried to break up the fight the mother suffered a broken arm, and Curtis then stabbed his girlfriend in the leg.

Deputies arrived and arrested Curtis. One deputy was bitten on the hand and Curtis then also bit a sergeant to responded to the scene.

Curtis was arraigned in Hamlin Town Court Sunday night and is being held on $25,000 bail.
