A man charged in connection with a homicide in the fall of 2017 has been found guilty.

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley says a jury has convicted Darrin Jones Jr. for second degree murder for the shooting death of Shaquan McMillian.

McMillian was shot and killed in October of 2017 in a parking lot near Beach and Lake Avenues in Charlotte.

Jones faces 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced in March.
