A father accused of arranging the kidnapping of his two young children from their foster home, along with his cousin who was one of the kidnapping suspects, have been convicted.

Dimitri Cash had lost custody of his four children after an investigation into his use of corporal punishment on them. The youngest two children, ages three and five, were living in a foster home in Greece. Cash was found guilty of arranging to have his cousin, Jonathan, and a woman named Kimara Pluviose, to break into the foster home. They duct taped the foster mom and another child and kidnapped Cash’s two children. They were found unharmed in Alabama two days later.

The jury deliberated fewer than three hours on Monday before finding Cash guilty.
