A Monroe County Court Jury has found a Rochester man guilty of burglary, assault and strangulation.
Thirty-one-year-old Edmund Buntley was accused of climbing through his former girlfriend’s bedroom window a year ago. He punched her in the face, smashed her phone when she tried to call for help and choked her unconscious. She woke up to find him going through her purse. She was able to get away and call 911.
Buntley ran, but police tracked him down within a couple of days. He’ll be sentenced October 27th, and faces up to 25 years in prison.
