A 53-year-old Rochester man was found guilty by a Jury Thursday on two counts of rape and two counts of assault, as well as unlawful imprisonment for his attack on a Rochester woman in 2019.
Delrick Jeffries was prosecuted by the Special Victims Trial Division. Prosecutor Hillary Levitt said the conviction was the result of the victim’s strength in telling her story in court.
Police were called to a grocery store in October of 2019 where the victim had gone for help; after hetting away from Jeffries earlier in the day. Police arrested Jeffries based on her description.
