A Rochester man has been charged with Second Degree Robbery, Burglary, Criminal Impersonation of a Police officer, Second Degree Menacing and Resisting Arrest. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says 23-year-old Daniel Nwosu is being held on $35,000 bail.
Nwosu was arrested after deputies were called to a West Henrietta Road motel for a report of family trouble. When they knocked on the door, Nwosu smashed out a back window and fled the motel room, armed with a long gun. When caught, he pointed the gun at the deputy before thinking better of it and dropping the weapon. It later turned out to be a BB gun.
A female victim told them Nwosu had forced his way into her room after identifying himself as a police officer, and stole her money.
