Federal prosecutors say a Rochester man has been charged with production of child pornography and online enticement of a minor.
Acting U.S. Attorney James Kennedy Jr. says 37-year-old Christopher Mason worked for a residential day care center in Rochester. A 13-year-old girl came forward and told police Mason had tried to get her to send him nude photos of herself. Mason was her mother’s boyfriend. Rochester Police notified the FBI which found online chats between Mason and the underage girl. It appeared Mason was trying to solicit the child to have sex with him.
Mason made an initial appearance in federal court in Rochester and is being held pending a detention hearing on June 16th.
