A Rochester man has been charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon after a fatal shooting that took place on July 3rd at Monroe Avenue and Goodman Street.
Police say 30-year-old Treyshon Pittman got into an argument with 35-year-old DeAnthony Rodgers. The argument escalated and Pittman fatally shot Rodgers with a 9 mm handgun. A still unknown person then pulled a gun and shot Pittman, wounding him in the lower body.
Police say Pittman was armed with two handguns, one of which he dropped while running away.
Pittman was arrested Tuesday after being released from the hospital.
