Rochester’s Arson Task Force has charged 27-year-old Ryan Farrell with arson and burglary for a pair of incidents that happened nearly a month ago.
The Rochester man is accused of setting a fire in a stairway of an apartment building at 976 Monroe Avenue early on the morning of March 31st. Fire crews arrived to find a resident of one of the 15 apartments dousing the fire and determined it had been set with flammable liquids.
Farrell is accused of setting the fire after having a dispute with one of the residents.
Investigators also learned that Farrell had allegedly broken into the Half Pint Pub on Park Avenue before the arson and stolen a number of items. He’s now in jail awaiting arraignment.
