A 34-year-old Rochester driver is under arrest, and another 34-year-old city man is being treated for a serious leg injury after one ran the other down while he was crossing the 2300 block of Clifford Avenue early this morning.
Police say the victim was in a wheelchair, crossing in front of 2341 Clifford, when Devin Dix drove by and struck the wheelchair with his car. Dix took off, but his car broke down at Clifford Avenue and Culver Road. He jumped out and ran, but was taken into custody by responding officers.
Dix has been charged with leaving the scene of a serious injury accident, and the injured man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.
