The driver who crashed his car into the front of the Monroe County Office building early Sunday morning has been charged with drunken driving.
Police say 30-year-old Tyrone Reeves of Rochester was
behind the wheel when his car went over the sidewalk at 39 West Main and along the front of the building. Reeves and his passenger were both treated at Strong Memorial Hospital. The car was wrecked and there was damage to the front of the building that required temporary repairs, including flagpoles knocked down.
The County Building opened as usual today, but permanent repairs will be needed.
