A Rochester man who fled from State Police on a motorcycle has been arrested on charges including unlawful flight and reckless endangerment.
State Police say they tried to stop 35-year-old Darnel Tillmon on the Thruway in the Town of Leroy for vehicle and traffic violations. But Tillmon refused to comply and sped off. Troopers gave chase and again tried to stop Tillmon at the Leroy toll plaza. Tillmon again accelerated his bike, but crashed moments later.
Tillman fled into the woods after a brief struggle with officers. He was found and arrested the next day and is facing multiple charges.
He’s being held on $5,000 bail.
