The City of Rochester has joined 25 other cities and the U.S. Conference of Mayors in signing on to a letter defending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. The controversial DACA program is the one allowing young people who were brought to this country as young children to stay and hold jobs, even though they’re illegal aliens.
The Trump Administration is pushing to end the program as it tightens immigration laws.
Mayor Lovely Warren says in a statement that they’re seeking an injunction to block that from happening. Warren says DACA is synonymous with the American Dream.
