Rochester firefighters were called to Rochester General Hospital this afternoon after a construction crew broke through a water line, sending water flooding into one of the hospital’s equipment rooms.

The hospital says the leak has been found and they were able to begin pumping out the water.  Patient care wasn’t interrupted but water usage at the hospital has been limited.

Emergency cases were diverted to other hospitals for the day and elective surgeries scheduled for Wednesday morning have been postponed.
