Rochester’s average gasoline price held steady for the last week at $2.94 a gallon for regular unleaded. The AAA says sanctions on Iranian crude oil and economic collapse in Venezuela might start sending prices higher again this summer.
Buffalo’s gas price was also unchanged at $3.00 per gallon, while Syracuse was down by a penny at $2.89. The national average was up by two cents a gallon at $2.86.
The Rochester price is the average of the five counties around Rochester, and prices may vary considerably across the region.
