Federal agents searched two factories in Rochester for several hours on Wednesday. Agents from the Defense Criminal Investigative Services and Homeland Security were seen walking in and out of Cannon Industries on Lee Road, and Burnett Process Company on Colfax Street. Cannon is a sheet metal working plant and Burnett makes gaskets and industrial filters. Both companies have shared ownership.
Homeland Security later released a statement saying it executed a search warrant at both locations as part of an ongoing criminal investigation. The affidavit supporting the warrant is under court seal and no further information was released.
