Proposals came in from across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. One of them was a joint proposal from Rochester and Buffalo that oddsmakers ranked high, but it failed to make the top 20. Those top choices include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Columbus Ohio, Dallas, Denver and Indianapolis.
An Amazon spokeswoman said thanks to all the communities that submitted proposals and said it was very tough getting down to the top 20. She said Amazon has learned a lot about what’s out there and will keep it in mind for future expansions.
