Two Rochester men have pleaded guilty to charges of intent to distribute cocaine…plus possessing firearms while involved in a drug crime.
Federal prosecutors say 40-year-old Shawnta Brown and 41-year-old Kenya Brown admitted to both crimes in court today. The brothers allegedly bought cocaine in large quantities, manufactured it into crack and then sold it through a series of drug houses managed by lower-level dealers.
The Brown brothers were arrested in 2012 when police raided those drug houses across the city. They seized drugs, guns and ammo, more than $300,000 in cash plus more than $23,000 in gold and silver. Federal agents located and arrested their drug supplier in California.
