In court this morning on an attempted murder charge, Leon Roach argued that he attempted to stab Rochester Police Officer Amber Grosch because he suffers from seizures. The 47-year-old Rochester man told the court he’s not responsible for his actions and should be getting treatment instead of being prosecuted for trying to stab the officer.
The court ordered Roach to go on trial in November.
Roach is accused of attacking his two roommates at a house on Louise Street, and stabbing the officer when she entered the house. Her bulletproof vest turned the knife and saved her life.
