The Rochester Riverside Hotel will stop accepting reservations at the end of the year, and the owners plan to close it down in the first quarter of 2020.
City Hall confirms the closing schedule for the hotel, which now belongs to developer Dave Christa and his partners. It was the city’s preferred site for a Rochester Performing Arts Center, but philanthropist Tom Golisano pulled his $25 million pledge for the project after the local community couldn’t come to an agreement on it. The photo shows what that would have looked like.
Christa announced plans for a mixed-use development on the site last fall, but hasn’t released any new details.
