The Rochester Institute of Technology announced in a gala event Thursday night that it’s shooting for a $1 billion fundraising goal in its capital campaign.

 

The university announced “Transforming RIT: The Campaign for Greatness.” As the title says, the largest fundraising event in RIT history is meant to take the school to another level of innovation.

 

CEO Thomas Judson of the Pike Co. and Appvance CEO Kevin Surace will lead the campaign.

 

RIT President David Munson says the want the university to grow the status of every program as a top 100 national research university.
