Students, faculty and staff from the Rochester Institute of Technology’s game design and development program are in San Francisco this week, taking part in a major gaming industry conference.
RIT has what’s ranked as the nation’s number three game design school in its MAGIC Spell Studios, one of three digital gaming labs in New York State. The Game Developer’s Conference is the world’s largest gaming industry annual event.
An RIT spokeswoman says this is a chance for students to make connections in the digital game industry and let the industry people see what cutting-edge projects the students and staff are developing.
There are also hundreds of lectures and plenty of inspiration for where the gaming industry is headed.
